Carp with the scientific name Cyprinus carpio and the English name Carp is in the bony fish category. Carp has a very high ability to adapt to the environment. Carp is a thermophilic type and the temperature of 20 to 30 degrees Celsius is suitable for their life. It hibernates at temperatures below 7 degrees. Their habitat is rivers, lakes or springs and they are the most freshwater species. Due to their ability to live in harsh conditions, it is possible to grow them even in an aquarium. From the carp family, more than 200 genera (genus) have been identified and more than 1600 different species have been recorded.
